Port Lincoln

Port Lincoln is situated on Boston Bay one of the largest protected natural harbours in the world, three times the size of Sydney Harbour. It is known as the Seafood frontier with a large array of world renown seafood, mussels, oysters, tuna, abalone, kingfish and prawns. It is also the gateway to the Great Australian Bight with spectacular views of rugged cliffs and spectacular rock formations. With friendly locals and a myriad of different experiences on offer from sampling the local seafood, quite literally straight from the ocean, with a local wine or something more active. Swimming with Sea lions, tuna or cage diving with Great White sharks there is something for everyone. Had there been a larger supply of fresh water it quite possible that Port Lincoln would have been the capital of South Australia. The main street is a short 10 minute walk from where the ship docks and winds along the water with spectacular vistas.
